Trading Fees

There’s a lot of discussion about fees. Should I charge a transaction fee on purchases or on sales. Or perhaps, on both. Should I charge a monthly fee? Cash or trade. Or both? How much should it be? What about a new member set-up fee? Can I charge $395? $595? What’s the right amount?

I am interested in starting an exchange in Cache County Utah. Our area is about 112,000 residents. Is my area large enough to be successful

  2. BarterPro says:

Absolutely. Having a local exchange with just 300 members (just 3/10th of 1 % of the residents) will generate about $4 million/year in trade transactions and about $175,000 to $200,000/year in cash revenues. How can we help you get started?
